5 Ways YOU Can Help! There are many ways that you, as an individual, or your club, organization, workplace or place of worship can contribute to the CASA mission in Anne Arundel County. 1. Volunteer to be a Court Appointed Special AdvocateCASA volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing a variety of experiences to their work as advocates for abused and neglected children. While there are no special educational or professional requirements to be a volunteer, advocates must be at least 21 years of age. Volunteers are carefully screened and receive a minimum of 30 hours of training before being assigned to children. AA County CASA is now accepting applications. Click here to learn how to apply. 2. Become a Friend of CASA We are always in need of volunteers who may not have the time to be an advocate for a child but could provide office support or help with fundraising projects. You may also donate goods to the office or attend a CASA special event. Please email stephanie@aacasa.org if you are interested.
3. Make a Financial Contribution We realize that not everyone can make the time commitment required to be an advocate or volunteer. However, there are several ways you can make a financial contribution to CASA that will fund recruitment, training and professional supervision for our advocates who work directly with abused and neglected children.
4. Host a CASA Information/Orientation Meeting
Help defray the administrative costs associated with operating a CASA program.
