WAYS YOU CAN HELP

5 Ways YOU Can Help!

There are many ways that you, as an individual, or your club, organization, workplace or place of worship can contribute to the CASA mission in Anne Arundel County.

1.  Volunteer to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate
CASA volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing a variety of experiences to their work as advocates for abused and neglected children. While there are no special educational or professional requirements to be a volunteer, advocates must be at least 21 years of age. Volunteers are carefully screened and receive a minimum of 30 hours of training before being assigned to children.

AA County CASA is now accepting applications.

2.  Become a Friend of CASA
We are always in need of volunteers who may not have the time to be an advocate for a child but could provide office support or help with fundraising projects. You may also donate goods to the office or attend a CASA special event.  Please email stephanie@aacasa.org if you are interested.

3.  Make a Financial Contribution

We realize that not everyone can make the time commitment required to be an advocate or volunteer. However, there are several ways you can make a financial contribution to CASA that will fund recruitment, training and professional supervision for our advocates who work directly with abused and neglected children.

  • Make a tax-deductible donation directly to Anne Arundel County CASA.  You can now make donations online.  Click here to go to our donate now page.
  • Make a tax-deductible donation to Anne Arundel County CASA through the Combined Federal Campaign and Maryland Charity Campaigns.

4.  Host a CASA Information/Orientation Meeting
Need a guest speaker at your next PTA meeting, community association, neighborhood club, or business session? You can help us spread the word about the CASA program by inviting a member of our Speakers Bureau.  If you are interested in receiving more information about our Guest Speaker program, you may call the CASA office at (410) 267-7877 or send us an e-mail at stephanie@aacasa.org

5.  Become a Corporate Partner
Help defray the administrative costs associated with operating a CASA program.
  • Provide in-kind printing, advertising, accounting or other services.
  • Sponsor or purchase a table at a CASA fundraising event.
  • Sponsor volunteer training sessions or provide materials for training.
  • Promote employee volunteerism with CASA by posting recruitment posters, informational inserts in paychecks, etc.

CASA is in need of Corporate Partners to provide services, supplies, and financial assistance to support our special events. If your company or business would like further information on how you can help, please call CASA office at (410) 267-7877.
