Friends
of CASA
You can
contribute to the mission and purpose of Anne Arundel County CASA, Inc.
(AAC-CASA) in many,
meaningful ways, instead of or in addition to becoming a trained Court
Appointed Special Advocate. AAC-CASA is a volunteer-driven, private
non-profit organization that would not exist without the talents,
donations and good will of concerned community members. We invite you to
work toward safe and permanent homes for abused and neglected children in
Anne Arundel County by becoming a Friend of CASA. The following are
identified program needs for your consideration:
Community members who
would like to contribute to the mission of CASA, without making the
commitment to become a CASA volunteer, are invited to consider the
following list of needs:
- Serve on the Ad Hoc
Committee
CASA has ad hoc needs for
volunteers in various aspects of the program at different times throughout
the year. For example, volunteers have assembled training manuals, set up
and served at various community activities, prepared the newsletter for
bulk mailing, delivered bookmarks and literature to area stores, etc.
Volunteers can add their name to this list, specify what they are
interested in and CASA will call as needed.
Volunteers who have a
half-day or more to give on a fairly regular basis and would like to chip
in at the CASA office are welcome and needed. The workload could include
the following as desired: filing, copying, errands, mailings,
correspondence/typing, and data entry.
- Donate Your Talents
and Resources
Printing and Graphic
Design Services are needed to help CASA communicate with the Anne Arundel community.
CASA has a wish list of pieces and ideas that are on hold for lack of
funding. There are opportunities to help on many levels.
Computer Support &
Expertise is needed to support CASA's limited computer network, which
has it's fair share of problems and glitches. CASA staff dreams of having
our very own, pro bono computer guru since this service is so costly. Such
a person could help by advising on equipment additions and purchases,
enhancing operations and maintaining the current system.
Share CASA's work at
your place of business by selling CASA Kid Pins, advertising events,
displaying brochures, etc.
- Sponsor CASA
Volunteers Financially
It costs approximately
$2500 per year to support one volunteer and 25-35% of CASA's annual budget
is dependent upon the private community. For a private, non-profit
organization of our size, all levels of giving have an impact on the
success and stability of our mission.
