$10,000 for small grants to individuals and families in crisis
and for counseling for them.
Baltimore International Seafarers' Center - $4,622 to
make this ministry to merchant seafarers more visible, and for
services like phone cards to give to seafarers.
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Leonardtown, - $14,000 for
restoration of an 11-foot door into 1766 church.
Magdalene Hospitality House, Cumberland - $4,650 for
expanding and bringing up to code a safe place for visiting
families of federal prison inmates.
Interfaith Service Coalition, Hancock - $10,000 for
financial assistance to families in crisis.
St. Gabriel's Church, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan - $1,000
toward a $19,230 organ for St. Margaret's companion parish on
its 70th anniversary.
Mission of Peace Distribution Center, West Virginia -
$17,000 to an Annapolis group for a steel building to distribute
food and clothing in Appalachia.
Washington Japanese Christian Church, Japanese Bible
Project - $2,700 for the purchase and shipping of 50 newly
translated Bibles to the Washington area.
Clay Street Learning Center, Annapolis - $10,000 for
staff assistance and food for children at the storefront
computer lab and after-school center.
Pimlico Arts & Community Center, Baltimore - $5,000
toward the building of a 16,800-square-foot complex in a
troubled Park Heights, Baltimore, neighborhood.
Domestic Violence Interfaith Coalition of Maryland -
$5,500 to help Anne Arundel County churches and the state to
help victims of domestic violence.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Anne Arundel
County - $7,628 to help train 20 to 28 more advocates to serve
neglected or abused children.
Osu Children's Library Fund, New Nima Community Learning
Center, Ghana - $5,000 for books and educational aids for a
learning center in Africa.
Food Link Inc. Emergency Baby Pantry Care sites, Anne
Arundel County - $5,000 to help coordinate six sites and three
planned sites.
Arundel Habitat for Humanity - $17,000 for framing
packages for two more houses on Clay Street.
St. Thomas' Episcopal Parish, Hancock - $5,000 to improve
accessibility.
